FibroGen, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel therapies at the frontiers of cancer biology and anemia. It is also developing Roxadustat, an oral medication, first-in-class, oral small molecule hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor (HIF-PHI), which is evaluated for the treatment of anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), anemia associated with myelodysplastic syndromes and chemotherapy-induced anemia. Roxadustat is approved in China, Europe, Japan, and numerous other countries for the treatment of anemia of CKD in adult patients on dialysis (DD) and not on dialysis (NDD).
