You have these small, innovative startups with brilliant ideas but no cash, and you have lumbering giants like Intel with deep pockets but a serious innovation deficit. It’s a match made in corporate heaven.
Buying innovation is almost always faster and cheaper than trying to create it in a stuffy, bureaucratic research department. The alternative is to sit and watch as NVIDIA laps you for the third time.
