UNITY Biotechnology, Inc. is a biotechnology company engaged in researching and developing therapeutics to slow, halt or reverse diseases of aging. The Company is focused on creating medicines to selectively eliminate or modulate senescent cells and thereby provide transformative benefit in age-related ophthalmologic and neurologic diseases. It is targeting specific biological mechanisms implicated in diseases of aging. UBX1325 is its advanced drug candidate for age-related diseases of the eye, including diabetic macular edema. UBX1325 is a potent small molecule inhibitor of BCL-xL. UBX2089, an a-Klotho hormone drug candidate, is being researched for multiple neurology indications.
