Kezar Life Sciences, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small molecule therapeutics to treat unmet needs in immune-mediated diseases. The Company's lead product candidate, zetomipzomib, is a first-in-class selective immunoproteasome inhibitor that has completed Phase Ia testing in healthy volunteers and a Phase Ib/IIa clinical trial in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with or without lupus nephritis (LN). The Company is focused on the development of zetomipzomib in autoimmune hepatitis, or AIH, a rare, chronic disease in which the immune system attacks the liver and causes inflammation and tissue damage.
